U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm didn’t rule out banning fuel exports as she took questions from reporters during a briefing on Wednesday. President Joe Biden is “not proposing that at this moment, but he’s not willing to take tools off the table,” said Granholm, who is slated to meet with major U.S. refiners on Thursday. “We do want to listen, for sure, and there may be consequences that have to be considered on doing something like that, that would have adverse impacts on everyday citizens, and we don’t want that either.”
