Biden says Ukraine getting $1 billion in U.S. military aid, including weapons, ammo, rocket systems

President Joe Biden told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a call on Tuesday that the U.S. is “providing another $1 billion in security assistance for Ukraine, including additional artillery and coastal defense weapons, as well as ammunition for the artillery and advanced rocket systems that the Ukrainians need to support their defensive operations in the Donbas,” according to a White House statement. Biden on May 21 signed legislation to support Ukraine with an additional $40 billion in U.S. assistance.
