Dollar Tree adds two Dollar General vets

Dollar Tree Inc. announced two new hires early Thursday: John Flanigan as chief supply chain officer, and Larry Gatta as chief merchandising officer for the Family Dollar chain. Both join from rival Dollar General Inc. . Flanigan joined Dollar General in May 2008 and was executive vice president of global supply chain from March 2010 until April 2016. Gatta was most recently senior vice president and general merchandise manager for consumables at Dollar General. Dollar Tree stock has advanced 11.1% for the year to date.
