Schwazze says its Star Buds dispensary is first cannabis logo on a pro team sports uniform

Schwazze said late Friday the logo of its Star Buds dispensary will appear on the jerseys as the official sponsor of the Colorado Summit, the state’s first professional ultimate disc team. Denver-based Schwazze said it’s the first cannabis company to get its logo on a pro sports team uniform. Schwazze CEO Justin Dye said the company hopes the logo “will drive a movement toward the acceptance of cannabis in professional sports.” Two of the Colorado Summit’s home games will be broadcast live on Fox Sport’s FS2 this season, plus live streams of all games on AUDL.TV. Shares of Schwazze, which is formally called Medicine Man Technologies Inc., are down 8% so far this year, compared to a 42.3% drop by the AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF .
