Stocks open sharply lower to kick off week

Stocks fell sharply at the open Monday, after another weekly loss for equities as recession fears grow. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 471 points, or 1.4%, while the S&P 500 shed 1.5% and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.7%.
