The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA was down 0.2% soon after the opening bell, while the S&P 500 SPX fell 0.4% and the Nasdaq Composite COMP shed 0.6%, according to FactSet data, at last check. Investors will get a reading on inflation in April from the consumer-price index on Wednesday. Meanwhile, New York Fed President Williams is scheduled to speak around noon on Tuesday.
