: Virgin Galactic confirms space-tourism flights on track for Q2

Virgin Galactic Holdings Inc. SPCE said late Thursday that Swami Iyer, president of aerospace systems, will leave the space-tourism company effective immediately. Iyer will serve as an adviser to Chief Executive Michael Colglazier until March 3 “to ensure a smooth transition,” the company said. Virgin Galactic also said it remained on track to launch its commercial services in the second quarter. Planned upgrades to its mothership are complete, and the spacecraft will be part of ground tests in the next week, with flight tests to verify the enhancements to the ship following, Virgin Galactic said.
