Republicans say that limiting immigration will help reduce inflation. Economists aren’t so sure.

Securing the border and undertaking “the largest deportation operation in American history” are key focuses of the Republican Party’s new plan to “quickly bring down all prices” for inflation-hit consumers and businesses. But economists say that these policies may not have the intended effect.
