Verizon Communications Inc. VZ said Friday that it has appointed Anthony Skiadas, its vice president and controller, to ascend to the role of chief financial officer starting at the beginning of May. He will succeed Matthew Ellis, who is “leaving the company to pursue other interests.” Skiadas has been in his current position at Verizon since 2013. The company further noted that Mary-Lee Stillwell will take on Skiadas’ role of senior vice president and controller once he becomes the CFO. Stillwell has been Verizon’s vice president for accounting and external reporting since 2020. Additionally, Kyle Malady, who previously was the company’s executive vice president and president for global networks and technology, has been elevated to the role of group CEO for Verizon Business. Sowmyanarayan Sampath, the head of Verizon Business Group, is becoming the CEO of Verizon Consumer Group. “These appointments will develop and grow the next generation of our leadership teams as we unleash Verizon’s full potential moving forward,” Chief Executive Hans Vestberg said in a release.
