: FTC seeks info from Twitter: report

The Federal Trade Commission has requested information from Twitter Inc. several times since the company was acquired by Tesla Inc. TSLA Chief Executive Elon Musk, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday. The FTC has sent a dozen letters to the company since Musk took over and is looking to depose Musk, according to the report, which said that excerpts from the letters were published in a staff report from the House Judiciary Committee. Among the requests in the letters were for information on Twitter’s layoffs, journalists being granted access to internal information, and the company’s Twitter Blue subscription service. Twitter twice settled allegations of wrongdoing with the FTC before Musk’s takeover, and the company is under a consent decree with the regulatory agency.
