It would be the largest pay increase for the 2.1 million executive branch employees since a 9.1% increase in 1980, the Post said, citing officials. The White House declined to comment for the Post’s story. Biden also looks set to call in his budget for increasing certain taxes and taking steps to bolster Medicare, along with other measures.
