The number of new COVID-19 infections in the U.S. is still rising, with about 65,000 people testing positive every two weeks, according to a New York Times tracker. That’s a daily average that’s 26% times than it was two weeks ago. The number of people who are hospitalized, being treated in intensive-care units, and dying is also increasing. About 400 people in the U.S. are dying every day, which is a 63% increase over the past 14 days. The higher counts come about two weeks after the Thanksgiving holiday.
