Shares of Moderna Inc. were down 0.4% in premarket trading on Wednesday after the company said it hired a new chief commercial officer. Arpa Garay, who is set to Moderna on May 31, most recently served as chief marketing officer for Merck & Co. Inc.’s Human Health business. Moderna’s only authorized or approved product is its COVID-19 vaccine. The company’s stock has tumbled 42.6% since Jan. 1, while the S&P 500 is down 12.4%.
