Arcus shares jump 13% after announcing plans to join S&P SmallCap 600

Shares of Arcus Biosciences Inc. gained 13.1% in premarket trading on Tuesday after the company said it is set to join the S&P SmallCap 600 before the market opens on Thursday. Arcus shares are down 13.8% so far this year, while the SmallCap 600 is down 5.0% and the broader S&P 500 has declined 3.8%.
