White House press secretary Psaki tests positive for COVID, says no close contact with Biden

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement Tuesday that she tested positive for COVID-19, so she won’t be joining President Joe Biden on his trip to Europe this week. Psaki said she had “two socially-distanced meetings” with Biden on Monday, and the president is “not considered a close contact as defined by CDC guidance” and has tested negative on Tuesday. Psaki, who said she has only mild symptoms, previously had COVID in October.
