Has COVID Got You Down? Dr. Lisa Leit Has Solutions

The pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges to us all and left a lot of people in a funk, which makes sense given how many lives have been lost and how our lives have had to revolve around a devastating virus. The discussion of our new normal and things going back to the way they were might be hard to process or even think about. If you feel unmotivated, lost, depressed, or even resentful, there are some pretty great solutions to help you get out of that slump and heal your body and mind. 

Dr. Lisa Leit, Ph.D., MCC has some great options for those that need a boost in their lives and creatively unlock the healing that you have been waiting for. As an expert in human relations and psychology with 16-plus years as a coach and motivational speaker, she founded the Happy Whole Human (HWH) program. This program is evidence-based, scientifically proven, and restorative, providing people with transformative coaching based on neuroscience to get back on track.

The pandemic is hard on everyone, but some are more personally affected by events out of their control than others. Regardless of the pandemic, oftentimes we can feel at a loss or displeasure with our lives, our careers, and even our relationships. Dr. Leit knows that this can weigh on people and create a lot of tension and unfulfillment, but that is what her program focuses on repairing and revitalizing people’s lives.

It is designed to identify and address both the 28 key dimensions of happiness and the hidden risk factors to health and to foster meaningful, measurable, and lasting results. It pinpoints where the individual is at present, identifies what is preventing them from achieving their goals, and provides them with the guidance they need to get there. HWH uses a holistic approach that most wellness initiatives don’t. They look at the whole person and track their progress throughout the whole process. This provides leadership with feedback as to how they can have a better and more supportive work environment. 

Dr. Leit’s approach has worked for individuals and couples, as well as large-scale corporations. She states, “Everything we do at HWH is geared towards helping individuals be the best version of themselves, so they can be a better partner and a better member of the community. Because we know without doubt stress and anxiety can affect brain function, we want to work on rewiring the brain or retraining it. There are several ways to go about this, but one method people don’t often consider is hypnosis or hypnotherapy.” She goes on to explain, “Our brain is performing so many functions at once, some we are conscious of and others we are not. It’s my opinion that the subconscious is something we often neglect. We usually discuss the thoughts we are aware of and then try to reconcile them through therapy or with friends, but on the inside, we just repeat the same negative thought patterns, and without enough self-awareness, we won’t know how to change them.”

Dr. Leit understands that in order to successfully move through the stress and shock of last year, we need to refocus our energy. She goes on to explain, “HWH believes in addressing people’s adverse behavior in a holistic manner. This makes us better at handling challenges and staying present with fewer anxieties.”
