Fayez (Fred) Farah is very knowledgeable when it comes to purchasing different makes and models of cars. Having owned his own car dealership, North Star Motors, he has a lot of valuable experience in buying, trading, and selling new and used cars. Because of this, Fayez Farah is going to explain the differences between the Toyota Corolla or a Volkswagen Jetta?
This is a frequently asked question among people that enjoy driving compact cars such as a coupe or sedan. Fayez Farah explains, “ Because the cars are so stylish, they are in great demand among college students.” He elaborates, “Drive into any university parking lot and you will see rows and rows of Jettas and Corollas. That is because these cars are generally moderately priced, they have outstanding fuel mileage figures, excellent safety features, and high build quality.” Both the VW Jetta and the Toyota Corolla cost around twenty-five thousand dollars (new).
The Volkswagen Jetta
Fayez Farah continues, “The Volkswagen Jetta is aesthetically very similar to other midsize sedans. One of the biggest differences people tend to notice is that the Jetta is a little more simplistic in style.” He continues, “The interior is not as bulky as the Corolla. I personally find the Jetta more attractive. The latest Volkswagen Jetta is a very strong vehicle compared with other compact cars. The Jetta has a high torque output 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, and new in-dash system that makes it very appealing for those on a budget.”
The Toyota Corolla
So, how does the Corolla compare? Most people are already aware of Toyota’s reputation for reliability, but besides that, what else does Toyota have to offer? Fayez Farah states, “In my opinion, the Corolla is aesthetically more attractive than other Sedans. It definitely has that sporty, streamlined body that creates a clean-cut look.”
Fayez Farah outlines Corolla’s features, “Every Corolla comes loaded with high-tech features like fluid cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic high beams, and comes with ios-CarPlay.” He continues, “New engines and framework updates go a long way to enhance the driving experience.” Fayez Farah states, “The Corolla’s force and power come from a 1.8-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that puts out only 139 horsepower and 126 ft-lb of torque, one of the least powerful engines in the compact car class. This is comparatively lower than the Jetta.”
Which would you choose?
The most rational decision you can make is to purchase the Toyota Corolla Fayez Farah claims.
Fred Farah explains, “My experiences with Toyotas have been very gratifying because they drive forever and hardly require any kind of repairs.” Fred Farah adds, “The Volkswagen Jetta is one that does require continuous upkeep and maintenance. The Volkswagen is a European car that was made for brief trips and is not suited for extreme weather. On the other hand, Toyota’s are made in Japan and can endure more extreme weather conditions. With a sleek interior, the Jetta is the more elegant or fashionable option, in my opinion. The Jetta is going to take sharp turns much better than the Corolla, which will have wider turns.”
The final decision
So, how would you decide between these two great options?
Fred Farah answers, “I would think about how frequently you can afford to take the VW Jetta in for the appropriate maintenance, how extreme the weather is where you currently reside, and how lengthy your commute is.” Fred Farah states, “You should also have covered parking or a garage if you want the VW Jetta. If you have covered parking or a garage, only travel short distances, and the weather is stable where you live, then go with the VW Jetta. The car is lovely and will bring you great joy to drive.” Thanks to Fred Farah, you can now make a more informed and educated decision about which car is the best for you.
